Why are the commissioners allowing developments that only have dirt road access without making them mitigate the dust problem. This is a picture of what I have to endure since the Fox Hills Estates development began.
Flathead County Must Have greater respect for the residents that live and pay taxes here and not give in to development after development with out proper procedures in place and enforced. Developments can ruin the life you thought you would have after you bought your dream home. You buy a home, and due to county regulations or Big Money, your Quality of Life is decided by someone else. It seems that there are solution but no one cares to create or enforce them. The attitude is "if it is not happening to me than why should I care". I say that if it happens to anyone in the Flathead Valley than it can happen to you. I say that if we do not stand up to protect the quality of life of others than who will stand up for us when it happens to us?
Comment on this Forum Folks. Tell us about how Flathead County is treating you?
You have a right to enjoy your home, your real estate investment for as long as you like and no one has a right to move in next to you and take that life away from you.
Dust? Isn't there a Simple Solution? Why are the Commissioners, the lawmakers and the developers letting this go on, are they trying to let local land owners know who is boss? What could possibly be the purpose not being a good neighbor?
By the way, this dust which, floats in the air (10 microns in size) is the perfect size of particulate for penetrating the tissue of your lungs and causing disease (the heavier dust soon settles back to earth). Many early rural farmers have succumbed to lung disease because of this "floating dust" . My family and I are now breathing this dust daily and we cannot afford to escape it at this time. Do you think the planning board or commissioners give a damn? Well, I will tell you, they do not!!!
